Shutter Speed
The Shutter speed controls how long the shutter stays open. A long shutter speed will keep the shutter open longer and exposing the film to more light. This can be used in lower lighted settings, but you will also have to stay very still in order for your picture to come out well.

Aperture Assignment
Three things I learned about Aperture:
1) the aperture of an optical system is the opening that determines the cone angle of a bundle of rays that come to a focus in the image plane.
2) The Diaphragm acts similar to the Iris of the eye and controls the aperture.
3) Reducing the aperture size increases the depth of field.
